Please click on the goat's name to see their pedigree. VICKI really looks extra good this year, after having a single buck kid. Although shown only twice this year (other than the National Show), she easily took GCH and BDIS both times. Since we had trouble trucking her for breeding last year, we decided to breed her at home this year. I think that the cross to Klondike with the Nilan blood on his sire's side, will make for some outstanding offspring.Due: April 14, 1998 Kids: $600.00
BEGONIA (Go-Go) was dried off early to give her a long rest before breeding. After a difficult delivery (which produced two live doe kids, and two dead buck kids), she had a long recovery period. Although she regained her health, she didn't really bloom this year. By breeding season, with a rest from milking, she is back to her old self and has been bred to our young Klondike. Due: March 25, 1998 Kids: $500.00 ELITE has matured into a beautiful doe, with excellent general appearance. We were very proud to see her 1996 Faro daughter place 5th in the Sr. Yrlg Class at the 1997 National Show. We have bred her to our Klondike, hoping to *pretty up* the udders on her offspring, and bring out a little more dairy character. Due: April 19, 1998 Kids: $500.00
FIERRA is very tall, long and dairy, with an excellent general appearance. She is very like granddam, Tierra, in appearance. Her yrlg daughter, Jontue, was a Colorama Doe at the 1997 National Show. We were very impressed with her '97 kids by Trouble Shooter, and have repeated this breeding, with hopes of a doe kid for our herd. Due: March 4, 1998 Kids: $400.00
FAVOUR is a very correct doe with a topline and rump to die for. Although not our largest doe, she is beautifully balanced and has an impressive general appearance. I think, Favour, like her mother, will just keep getting better as she gets older. We are still trying for a doe kid from her, as she again had bucks this past year. Due: March 5, 1998 Kids: $400.00
HARLEQUIN is a beautiful, and eye-catching doe. She has a very good general appearance, and extremely good udder. We were so impressed with her '97 Trademark kids, that we have repeated the breeding again. Her daughter, Kenya, place in the top twenty intermediate kids, as the National Show, out of seventy-some. Due: April 19, 1998 Kids: $400.00
HULLABALOO (Baloo to us) is a long, tall and upstanding doe with terrific feet and legs. She is very dairy, and is our best milker. We have bred Baloo A-I to Le Chevrier Renassance, for a bit of improvement in shoulder assembly and smoothness. Hopefully Baloo will finally mature, stop growing, and fill out this coming year. Due: March 5, 1998 Kids: $400.00
HIALEAH has grown quite well in the past year, and place well in the two fairs she attended this summer. Last year, she missed making her star on butterfat by only a 1/2 lb, and was dried off early due to mastitis. Her '97 Faro buck kid was selected for exportation to Columbia, where he is being used to develop a commercial dairy herd. Her doe kid is the biggest of our your replacement doelings. Due: April 23, 1998 Kids: $350.00 JEMINI has done quite well this season, considering she is a *short/junior* yearling, and kidded prematurely. She has also done well at the fairs, placing 1st or 2nd each time. Due: March 26, 1998 Kids: $300.00
JENNESSEE is a very nice doe with a fantastic little udder. We were so disappointed, when she developed mastitis almost immediately after freshening. After battling it for the entire fair season, she was dried off as soon as her number of test days became official. We have dry treated her aggressively, and are looking forward to her second freshening with renewed hope. Due: March 6, 1998 Kids: $300.00
JELLYBEAN is a nice wide yearling doe, with potential for a fabulous udder. When she did not breed last year, we broke our rule about dry yearlings, because we wanted to keep these genetics until we could see what they produced. Due: March 5, 1998 Kids: $250.00
SUTRA is a lovely long doeling with good angulation and general appearance. She is showing much of the style of her dam. We were so pleased with this single doe kid...we had tried this breeding several times in the past. Due: April 1, 1998 Kids: $250.00
KAUAI is a very stylish doeling; long and level, with great feet and legs. She has a beautiful open escutcheom, and we are hoping that she will have as nice an udder as her dam and granddam. I have a feeling this one is a real comer. Due: March 27, 1998 Kids: $250.00
KEEPSAKE is a very striking young doeling. Her color is like a soft pewter when her hair is long, and has a little beige in it when she is clipped. Her dam had the best udder in our herd, and we are sure hoping that she passed it to her daughter. Due: April 1, 1998 Kids: $250.00
KOHINOOR is the largest, if not the oldest, of our young doelings. She is showing all the sixe and power of her sire, and a good deal of the style of her dam and granddam, Vicki. We are anxious to see if the qualities of both these does came thru to her. Due: April 18, 1998 Kids: $250.00
KITTEN is a nice typey doeling, in the old style...she has the shorter, broader muzzle that is her sire's trademark. She is nicely balanced and stands on good legs and feet. We have found that the cross between Trademark and our Faro daughters produced lovely offspring. Due: April 17, 1998 Kids: $250.00
KABUKI has been a *surprise* from day one. She was born white, with black trim...but, as she grew she continually changed, until now she is a flashy combination of tan and cream patches with black edges. She is reminding me more and more of her dam, as a kid. Due: April 24, 1998 Kids: $250.00
